9th International German-Cup for hot-air balloons from September 15 to September 17

Once again they will come to Pforzheim from all directions: about 40 hot-air balloons and their crews will participate in the "6th International German-Cup for hot-air balloons", starting at Hofgut Buckenberg.

Depending on wind and weather, the pilots will fire the whizzing gas-burners and start into 5 races with their colourful "monsters". Welcoming and instruction for the participants from Germany and foreign countries are held on Thursday. The air-races are expected to start on Friday,Saturday, and Sunday morning at about 8 a.m. and 5.30 p.m.

So, once again, the sky above Pforzheim will be the stage for a spectacular balloon-event. The valuable cup - sponsored by Sparkasse Pforzheim- is very much in demand and waits for the lucky winner.
